I love telling stories and living in my own.

On any given day you'll find me watching reality TV, defending Beyoncé's honor, being a church lady, or playing tennis in a matching set that I also plan to brunch in. I think my love for stories is rooted in my deep appreciation for my own story

I have lived in so many different places like Tulsa, Chicago, Dallas and now LA, and that has allowed me to connect with different people and understand their experiences. That made my start in news a natural one.

But as I elevated in different newsrooms across the country, it became clear that my passion for making sure impactful stories and information reach and reflect underrepresented communities, would have to reach far beyond television.

I pursued my master's degree in Communication Management at the University of Southern California in order to better understand the variety of ways people receive and share information, and how my skillset in the news industry could make an impact far beyond it.

I take my responsibility as a newsperson in the tech space very seriously, and ultimately hope my impact can be felt by people with different backgrounds, skin colors, religions, and dreams when they see their stories told on the platforms they love most, and get the facts they need to make informed decisions.

But none of that happens without storytelling, and that's why I love what I do. No matter the job title or organization, my "why" has stayed the same; and I feel it most each time I hear the impact a person's story has had on a perfect stranger; because that's what will and has always united us: The sharing of the stories that live inside of us and that we live inside of every single day.
